Lucend wins prestigious Impact Award for advancing sustainable data center operations

Lucend, a pioneer in transforming data centers into intelligent, data-driven environments, is proud to announce that it has received the esteemed Impact Award from the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the NLinNY event. Co-founder and CEO Rene Gompel accepted the award in New York City, recognizing Lucend’s exceptional contributions to reducing the energy impact of data centers worldwide.

During his remarks, Gompel emphasized the increasingly critical role digital infrastructure plays in daily life, and the mounting challenges facing operators.
“Constraints on the energy grid infrastructure, rising energy costs, skilled labor shortages, and expanding regulations mean data centers need to innovate,” he said.
“Our platform uses the power of AI to convert operational complexity into more efficient, data-driven operations, increasing sustainability and improving reliability.”

Gompel expressed gratitude for the recognition from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, adding: “I am proud of the Lucend team for delivering on our mission to make the data center industry more sustainable.”

ScaleNL recognition

Lucend was also selected as one of the top 10 companies for the 2023 US East Coast ScaleNL Accelerator program, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program helps high-potential Dutch companies expand successfully into the US market by translating domestic strategies into targeted US-focused growth paths.
