Why we're evolving

Over the past several years, Coolgradient has proven that human-in-control, Transparent AI can drive extraordinary gains in energy efficiency and uptime. Our customers across the globe have cut PUE by up to 40%, extended infrastructure life, and built new trust in optimization that shows its work.

But the name Coolgradient carries limits that simply no longer serve where we're heading. What once spoke to cooling optimization now anchors perception there. Yes, we optimize cooling. But our platform's capabilities reach far beyond managing any single optimization category in isolation.

In fact, it’s become clear that we're about something much bigger than management, or efficiency, or even optimization. We're about clarity. The kind of clarity that can only come from intelligence that considers the whole picture, reaches deep into the data, and surfaces the connections and patterns that make all the difference.

What Lucend means

Our new name, Lucend, draws inspiration from lucere, the Latin word that means “to shine, to bring light.”

In our case, this is as much a promise as it is a name.
