Lucend Wins Model IT Category at Yotta 2025 Innovate Arena
Lucend is proud to announce that we have won the Model IT category at the Yotta 2025 Innovate Arena in Las Vegas. Now in its second year, the Yotta conference has quickly become one of the most influential events in digital infrastructure. As Latitude Media founder Scott Clavenna noted, the event “arguably had more to say about the big questions driving the energy sector” than RE+, which took place nearby on the same dates.
The Innovate Arena is a competition designed to spotlight emerging leaders in digital infrastructure. Participants deliver rapid-fire presentations, receive live feedback from judges, and engage directly with the audience. One judge remarked that Lucend’s approach “seems like a no-brainer,” and Lucend went on to secure the winning position.
Data Centers as Their Own Newsrooms
At the center of our pitch was a story we often tell: the story of Declan, a data center manager in Dublin, Ireland.
Declan starts every morning by reading the "news," but it is not the Financial Times or the Wall Street Journal. It is Gradient, Lucend’s intelligence platform that transforms existing facility data into daily, transparent recommendations. Gradient gives operators a clear picture of what has happened in their facilities and, more importantly, what needs attention today.
Through Gradient, Declan sees connections across thousands of operational signals. These insights reveal patterns that no individual could track manually. The platform provides specific recommendations that reduce PUE, increase uptime, and strengthen reliability. Everything is fully traceable, verifiable, and based on existing infrastructure and data. No new hardware or risky changes are required.
What makes Lucend unique is that Declan remains in control of every action. Gradient identifies opportunities and explains its reasoning, but operators decide what to implement and when. We believe AI should empower operators rather than replace them. Gradient provides daily clarity and operators make the final call.
Real Results
Lucend’s value is demonstrated in real-world performance. Declan’s facility achieved $4.3 million in annual savings, a 40 percent reduction in PUE, and a significant decrease in operational risk. Across dozens of global facilities, Lucend has delivered:
- Energy Efficiency: Up to 40% reduction in PUE, totaling more than 42,166 MWh
- Water Conservation: 28% reduction across multiple sites
- Operational Efficiency: Up to 40% increase in team productivity
- Asset Reliability: Prescriptive maintenance that extends equipment life
Gradient works across both legacy and new facilities and in a wide range of climate zones. It requires no hardware changes or IoT rollouts. The platform shows that transparent, human-in-control intelligence can deliver measurable ROI while supporting sustainability and operational excellence.
